Redhook helped invent craft beer in Washington. But in a market flooded with IPAs and fueled by tech culture, the original pioneer had lost its edge. New ownership. Split product lines. Blurred identity. We went back to the source to dig through research and talk to loyalists and new drinkers alike, uncovering what still rang true. What we found wasn’t nostalgia. It was grit.
“Work Makes Thirst” became the rallying cry. A brand platform and campaign built for builders, grinders, makers, and doers. A unifying idea that could bridge Classic and Big Ballard product lines, launch Redhook ‘81, and celebrates Redhook’s history and heritage.
